Woodworking is here! Come see me on my book tour!

Did you know I wrote a novel???? I don't know if I've mentioned it before.

Happy March, everyone!

I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I wrote a novel! Its name is Woodworking, and it has starred reviews from Kirkus, Publishers Weekly, and Booklist. Both Kirkus and the Los Angeles Times named it one of the best books to read in March! Also, several random people have skeeted at me to say they liked it, and that has to count for something. It's out Tuesday, which is tomorrow if you are reading this the second it hit your inbox.

I'm ridiculously proud of it, and if you would be so kind as to purchase a copy (or request one at your local library), I would be deeply honored.

And if you live in New York, Minneapolis, or Los Angeles, you can come and see me talk about the book in person this week!

  • New York: Strand with Esther Zuckerman. Tuesday, March 4 at 7 pm. (Buy tickets here.)
  • Minneapolis: Magers & Quinn with Dex Anderson. Wednesday, March 5 at 7 pm. (Reserve your place here.)
  • Los Angeles: Skylight Books with Jon Lovett. Friday, March 7 at 7 pm. (RSVP here.)

Please come watch me attempt to answer questions about my book! And if you have questions of your own that you're tired of me ducking all the time, there will be audience Q&A portions at all three events. I'm hopeful we'll do more events later in the year, but no guarantees.

Anyway, because I'm doing all of this, this Wednesday's newsletter will be a repeat. But I promise to dig deep in the archives and revive something good, instead of just some piece of crap. Thank you for your understanding, and I'll see you all soon (possibly quite literally).
