What are you going to watch this weekend? (July 8 edition)

Happy Thursday!

It’s time to ask the eternal question: What are you watching this weekend?

Somehow, I was never invited to a press screening for Marvel's new film, Black Widow. Now, I'm on vacation, so I wasn't going to be able to write about it anyway, but you'd think somebody at the Walt Disney Corporation would understand how deeply I appreciate the talents of Florence Pugh. Also, David Harbour is my dad crush. Also, it's so nice to have this movie 10 years after it probably should have existed!

I wouldn't call myself a Marvel fan, but my wife is. I am a pretty easy mark for these movies, though. I have a lot of fun with the vast majority of them, even if I ultimately find them pretty disposable. It'll just be nice to be back in an air conditioned theater, seeing superheroes beat each other up. A good time will be had by most!
