Rose asks:

What are your honest predictions for the Glee reboot (Gleeboot)? How many Glees will we have to deal with now?

Emily: I'm really reading between the lines on this – which is to say I have no special knowledge at all – but given the limited episode order and the way in which the original show operated, I will be very surprised if this isn't written and showrun in its entirety by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan. More power to them! Glee has always been Ryan Murphy's White Lotus, I guess. But if it's somehow not this......... Ryan. Call me. Yes, I'm sure you will be hiring youths to counteract the age of all three creators, but you have to admit that "Emily St. James writes for Glee" would be an extremely specific PR win for, like, eight people.

I assume that the show will now be about some of the characters from the original show teaching a "new generation" of students, probably centered on Rachel and Kurt (if I were to hazard a guess). The original series tried to do this several times across its six-season run, and it never quite worked, but I also suspect that it will hit harder when the original characters can be credibly portrayed as people in their 30s. Then we'll get to see what Murphy, et al., think teenagers are like these days. Come to think of it, those guys might all have teenagers now? This can only end well! Kids love when parents make shows about them!

Though the more I think about it, one reason Murphy is so consistently able to make shows about teens is because his hyperpop storytelling style means that he kind of doesn't have to nail anything other than having lots of wild shit happen. That and at least three Olivia Rodrigo/Sabrina Carpenter mash-ups should carry the day. Honestly, though, I would be interested to see what the kids of New Directions would do with some songs by underscor– I am shot by Lily

James asks:

If you did the classic Muppet movie game on You Can See Everything — replace the full cast with Muppets, but keep one human — who should stay human? Which Muppets replace the other main figures?
